- We (Marc and LeAnne) met on a blind date, August 2000, in Charlotte and were engaged two years later. We moved to Charleston, SC, where we married and lived for 3 years. The two of us had talked about adoption early in our relationship and found it was something we were both interested in. After moving back to Charlotte in October 2005, we looked into the process. We decided to adopt internationally from Kazakhstan It's been a long and sometimes frustrating experience, but well worth it to find our son Rhys.

This is the first time that I have ever wished that someone would get "Chicken Pops",(as Rhys would say), but I know you will be delayed in leaving for home if she doesn't break out soon.

So glad that all is well. Love the videos...Rhys is doing great at school and saw Marc at pick-up. Nana and Kickey were waiting outside. Hope if the Chicken Box are coming they will appear soon so your arrival won't be delayed. Can't wait to meet the little girl.

If Dad's` not mistaken, today is the big day. Our fifteen day wait is over, so the "apple" (think another word that starts with "a" should be official.
Now LeAnne and Elle just have to wait for documents (passports, etc,). Go to Almaty for meetings at the consulate and exit medicals.
Congratulations LeAnne, Gia and the babies. Thinking of you and really missing you.
