Our trip home started by sitting in the Astana airport for 5 hours before our flight. We all loaded the plane for Frankfurt and had a smooth trip. The flight was not full, so we all had extra seats to lay down in to get some rest. Gia and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of crepes with apples, they were delicious and hit the spot. We landed in Frankfurt, said bye to Ben and Gia, and went through passport control and security again to get to our flight to Munich.
We found our seats and got settled in and realized it was very hot. The pilot came on a few minutes later to apologize that the air conditioning was broken, but that we would take off soon and the plane would cool down when we got in the air. A few minutes later he came back on to say our push back truck was broken and it would be five minutes. Fifty minutes later we left the gate in a very hot plane. We only had an hour and a half layover in Munich, so we were very concerned we would miss our flight to Charlotte.

Just before landing the pilot came on and said no one had been re-booked and we should all make our connections. When we got to Munich, we rushed through the airport, back through passport control again, and then security, when we got to our gate, they were boarding the plane. Yeah, we made it!!! This was a really hard nine and a half hour flight that was full, so no stretching out.
We landed in Charlotte, once again through passport control, then as we walked up to the luggage carousel ,we say our bag drop down, on to customs, then quickly cleared to go down the ramp to find our beautiful little boy and Nana waiting for us. Many tears were shed (by Le Anne and Nana) when we saw Rhys and of course he asked were his pick up truck was. Since that Monday afternoon, we have enjoyed playing with him, hugging and kissing him. He has even helped to find toys for baby Elloree for our next trip.
