Over the ocean....

Over the ocean and through the Steppes to Kokshetau we go. Our hearts know the way to carry us home on this wonderful Thanksgiving da-ay. I know cheesy but I had to do it.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here in Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. Most of this is thanks to Marc and his wonderful cooking skills. He and Ben went out today searching out all the right ingredients. With a few items brought from home we pulled off a great dinner. We invited the two other American families over for dinner. It was great to show off our kids and catch up with everyone.

We sat down to dinner around 6pm. We had roasted chickens, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy (served in a french press), roasted carrots, green bean casserole with fried onions on top, cheese and garlic biscuits, all compliments of Marc. The two other couples brought homemade cranberry sauce and an apple crisp with whipped cream. Holiday napkins with turkeys on them finished off the table in style. Oh, and Vodka shots of course.

Both of the babies made an apearance in their Thanksgiving outfits and looked adorable.

We hope you all had a wonderful day with family and friends. We all have so very much to be thankful for in our lives. To the gifts of the past, the dreams of the future and the memories we make along the way-cheers!!
